Refit Centre and Refit Centre Stage - This is where visitors can get professional tips and product information on all aspects of boat repair and restoration. Workshops and presentations will provide tips on boat building materials and boat maintenance.


Refit goes digital
The networked world and digitalisation do not stop at the side of the boat. Today, increasingly complex networks determine the course, understand the weather, read charts independently and optimise routes. Electronics and electrics on board can also cause many a grey hair on the owner's head. Communication is also changing sailing and life on board. Christian Binsch takes interested parties on a journey from shortwave to the modern Starlink system.


Sailmaker Ulrich Münker from the Faber+Münker sailmaking workshop in Kiel has expertise in everything to do with the wardrobe above deck: sailcloth, profiles, cuts. From Wednesday to Sunday, Münker will be demonstrating how a skilful boatswain's seam or adhesive patch can save your trip if a mishap occurs at the Refit Centre.


Helge von der Linden, Managing Director of M.u.H. von der Linden GmbH, is an unrivalled expert in boatbuilding materials, especially the use of epoxy resins and composites in wood and GRP construction projects. Whether it's sanding, painting or filling: in co-operation with the boat builders from the Baumgart boatyard, we will show you how it's done properly!

A special highlight this year is once again the popular engine workshop for non-mechanics with Bert & Marlene Frisch and Hinnerk Weiler from the Trans-Ocean association. They will deliberately only teach the day-to-day tasks, from a small check before each trip, early signs of emerging problems and how to rectify minor faults on the move to changing the impeller and oil.
